Description: The start and finish of the race were in the Brod Fortress, which has an interesting history. The commander was a Hungarian responsible for the liberation from the Ottoman occupation. The Fortress could accommodate about 4,000 soldiers. It was never attacked. In a sporting sense, this race means endurance regardless of age and connections between runners from different countries. In a traffic sense, this race represents Slavonski Brod as a transport hub and the “tenth” corridor as part of the transport network. The historical, sports and transport part is connected to neighboring Bosnia and Herzegovina.
